Privacy Policy

The short version: there are no accounts, no tracking and no advertising, and the apps keep your data on your own machine. The longer version is below.

This Website

The site is a set of static pages. It sets no cookies of its own, runs no analytics, and asks you for nothing.

It is hosted by Netlify, whose servers keep standard technical logs — your IP address, the page requested and your browser type — as any web server does. Those logs are handled under Netlify's own privacy policy.

Page fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which means your browser makes a request to Google's servers and Google sees your IP address. No fonts, no request — but that is the trade-off being made, and you should know about it.

Donations

Donations go through PayPal. PayPal handles the payment and your financial details. Card numbers and bank details are never seen or stored here.

What comes back from PayPal is what any donation recipient sees: your name, the email address on your PayPal account, the amount and the date. That is kept only as a record of donations received, and is not used to market anything to you or shared with anyone.

If You Get in Touch

Emails to feedback@simpleflightplanner.com are read and kept only as long as needed to deal with what you wrote about.

Messages on Discord are subject to Discord's own privacy policy, and anything posted in a public channel is visible to everyone in the server.

The Apps

The apps run on your own computer or your own network. They do not create accounts, do not phone home, and do not send your flights, settings or files anywhere.

Simple Flight Planner and Simple Flight Academy store your plans, progress and preferences in your own browser. Clearing your browser data removes them.

Simple Flight Tracker, Dashboard Pro, Simple Flight Review and Simple Flight Overlay read data from your simulator and write files on your own machine. Simple Flight Remote serves pages only to devices on your own network. Simple Dispatch and Simple Profile Manager work entirely with files already on your PC.

Some features do reach out to third-party services on your behalf — weather, NOTAMs, charts, navigation data and map tiles. Those requests go directly from your device to those providers, who will see your IP address in the ordinary way. Nothing about which airports you look up or where you fly is collected here.

What Is Never Done

No advertising, no ad networks, no selling or sharing of anyone's information, no behavioural tracking, and no profiling.

Your Choices

To find out what donation records exist for you, or to have them removed, email feedback@simpleflightplanner.com.

Anything stored in your browser or on your PC is yours to delete whenever you like, by clearing your browser data or uninstalling the app.

Changes

If this policy changes, the date at the top of the page changes with it.
