The Simple Flight Suite is built and run by one person. These terms cover this website and the apps offered on it. Using either means you accept them.

Free Apps and Thank-You Gifts

Simple Flight Planner, Simple Flight Tracker and Simple Flight Academy are free to everyone.

The remaining apps are offered as thank-you gifts to people who support the work with a donation. A donation is a voluntary contribution, not the purchase price of software. You are not buying a licence, a subscription or a support contract, and no ownership of the apps transfers to you.

Donations are processed by PayPal under their own terms. Because a donation is voluntary and not a purchase, it is not normally refundable — but if something has gone wrong, get in touch and it will be sorted out.

What You May Do With the Apps

Install and use them on your own computers and devices, for as long as you like, for personal flight simulation.

Please do not sell them, repackage them, host your own copies, or share the download page with people who have not been given it. If someone wants the apps, send them here.

Simulator Use Only

Everything here is built for flight simulation and nothing more. The data, procedures, checklists, charts, performance figures and lessons are simplified for a simulator and must not be used for real-world flight planning, navigation, training or operations.

For actual flying, use current official publications, certified instruction and approved sources.

No Warranty

The apps and the website are provided as they are, without any warranty. They may contain errors, they may be unavailable, and they may stop working after an update to your simulator or your system.

Some of the apps change files that belong to your simulator install — moving add-ons, switching settings profiles, writing configuration. They are built to be careful and to be reversible, and they take their own backups, but you use them at your own risk. Keep your own backups of anything you cannot afford to lose.

To the fullest extent the law allows, no liability is accepted for any loss or damage arising from using the apps or the website, including lost data, lost settings or lost time.

Third-Party Data and Services

Some features fetch data from services run by other people — weather, NOTAMs, charts, navigation data, online network traffic and map tiles among them. That data belongs to those providers, may be incomplete or wrong, and may become unavailable without notice.

Links to other websites are offered for convenience and imply no endorsement or responsibility for what is on them.

Changes

The apps, the website and these terms may change at any time. Apps may be updated, renamed, combined or discontinued. There is no obligation to provide support, updates or continued availability, though the intention is very much to keep going.

Trademarks and Affiliation

Microsoft Flight Simulator, FSX, Prepar3D, X-Plane and any other products named here belong to their respective owners. The Simple Flight Suite is an independent project and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Microsoft, Asobo, Lockheed Martin, Laminar Research or any other company named on this site.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the laws of Canada that apply in it. Any dispute arising from them falls to the courts of Quebec, Canada.

If you are a consumer somewhere else, this does not take away rights your own local law gives you.
